Train was contracted to replace an existing contractor at a site in the Fernie area of BC. The project involved the completion of installation of a large Heat Recovery Unit, all the associated piping and structural steel, as well as the assembly and commissioning of various pieces of equipment for a co-generation facility. A large portion of the project was completed on a Trans Canada Compressor site. Train completed the project while facing numerous challenges left behind by the previous contractor on site. Much of the work involved piecing together structural steel from the supplier arranged by others, and assembling pressure equipment, aerial coolers, and the welding and testing of the u-bends in the HRU, and some other minor vessel repairs.
